Does my child need to know how to play soccer?
No. MKSC accepts both experienced, and new soccer players. We offer numerous player development camps and clinics.
Which Region do I register in?
Regions are geographic locations, based upon where you live or community you live in.
What are Kickers' Regions?
The Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club is made up of regions located throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Each region functions to meet the needs of its community and members.
All Kickers' regions offer recreational youth soccer teams and most offer Select (tryout based) teams. All players who participate in a Kickers' region are part of the Milwaukee Kickers organization. The Kickers, as one entity made up of all regions, also offers a premier level Select team - MKSC Academy.
What is my "U"? *New Age Requirements for 17/18*
"U" is short for "My soccer age is Under 8 years old". This age is determined by your child's birth date. Players can not be over the listed age. Soccer ages are determined once per year and remain the same for the entire year.
New Age Requirements Guide
New age requirements have been mandated by the United States Soccer Federation. All of U.S. Soccer’s membership is required to put these initiatives into place no later than August of 2017. This includes, but is not limited to, all youth members and their respective competitions: State Associations, US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, AYSO, SAY, etc. At the November 2015 Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association State Board Meeting, the Board took action to approve the implementation of the Birth Year Registration mandates included in US Soccer’s new Player Development Initiatives effective August 1, 2016 for all Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association players and programs. This means MKsc will have to follow all the mandated regulations moving forward.
Beginning May 1st players will register according to the year they were born. Players will no longer be age appropriate based on a birth date between August 1 and July 31 and/or their grade in school. Instead, players will register and be age eligible according to their birth year (2009, 2010, 2011, etc).
Milwaukee Kickers recreational leagues will be formed by birth year and not grade level.
Please know that we as an organization are doing everything in our power to keep the recreational teams together, as they are today, based upon grade level.
