What is TOPSoccer?
US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers.
The program, open to youth ages 4-21, is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. The goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.
Uihlein Soccer Park donates field time
As a partner and supporter of the program Uihlein Soccer Park, in collaboration with GiGi's Playhouse and a number of other partner organizations, donates indoor field time to host free US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer community-based training for the athletes. Use of the indoor field creates a climate-controlled environment that guarantees program sessions take place rain or shine.
TOPSoccer supporter and soccer legend Abby Wambach was here
In November 2015, a month prior to her retirement, soccer legend Abby Wambach came to Uihlein Soccer Park to host a TOPSoccer fundraiser that raised thousands of dollars to support the program. Abby stayed much longer than she was scheduled to that day so she could meet every child, and we were privileged and honored to have her here.
