1. How long have you been MKSC Milwaukee East's Regional Director?
I took over as Regional Director from Mark Horowitz in 2011. He held the post for 27 years. I have a ways to go to meet his standard.
2. What do you find most fulfilling about coaching youth soccer? I enjoy creating a culture in which each player enjoys a positive sports experience. There are a myriad of reasons a child engages with soccer - for exercise, to make a friend, or to taste competition. We need to be aware that not every child is motivated the same way.
3. If you have to describe youth soccer in one word it would be. . .?
Stimulating
4. Who is your favorite professional soccer player and why?
I don't have one. Rather than focusing on matches on TV, I spend my time reading sports psychology, soccer analytics/tactical analysis and leadership/team building material.
5. What is something your players would be surprised to learn about you?
I climbed and summited Mount Kilimanjaro.
