Hey! My name is Kobe Vines and I will be an Accounting and Special Events Intern for the summer of 2018!
One of the reasons I wanted to join MKSC is because I am already familiar with the area, grew up playing soccer and I understand how great of an atmosphere it is here. I was also a referee here in the past and one thing I noticed is that everyone is given a chance to play, learn, and of course have fun. I believe that’s what the sport is all about, so it’s fitting that I came back here to work with an organization that has the same mindset as I do.
I grew up playing soccer and played for a long time until I decided to hang up my soccer cleats for football cleats! I’ve played football since high school and I’m still playing at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse as a Running Back.
Although I don’t play soccer anymore, my love for the game is still with me. It is one of the reasons that I switched my major from Biology to Sports Management because I don’t want to be involved with just one sport. The game of soccer has had one of the biggest impacts in my life and I’m hoping that with this opportunity at MKSC I will be able to do the same for someone else in the future.
When I’m not involved with football, in my free time, I love to workout, watch sports, listen to music and hang out with friends. I love being social so any chance I get to hang out with someone I’m going to take. I also love attending sporting events at La Crosse because I know so many of the players on each team, and I love to support them as much as I can!
I believe that commitment and passion are the key reasons to anyone being able to accept any opportunity. You can’t just have one or the other or it won’t work. These are two characteristics I possess, and I am very excited to work with MKSC this summer to see where they will take me.
