Let's All Thank MKSC Dads Sunday

by Jane Cook | Jun 16, 2015

This Father’s Day, we thank and honor the fathers that have contributed their time and dedicated their talents to the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club (MKSC) organization.

As a parent, fathers of our players play an important role in helping their children enjoy soccer by supporting practices, attending games and, for some, being a coach, team manager and/or volunteer.

Because a number of our MKSC Staff Coaches are fathers themselves, they have a natural tendency to serve as father figures to their players as well. This allows players to not only grow fundamentally, but to learn leadership skills and what it means to be a part of a “Players First” focused, community oriented and nationally recognized soccer club.

If we were to coach our players on how to show appreciation for their fathers Sunday, we would suggest they give their dads a hug, a card, a meaningful gift (purchased or, better yet, handmade) or a simple, sincere “thanks for all you do dad” compliment which can be the best gift of all.

We wish all MKSC fathers a special and Happy Father’s Day!
