​COACHING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & OPPORTUNITIES

YI CERTIFICATION
The ‘Y1’ Certificate is a 3 hour introductory course aimed at coaches working with U6-U10 children playing recreational soccer. The course exposes coaches to some of the bare essentials involved in coaching young players. 

F LICENSE 
An on-line course offered through US Soccer's Digital Coaching Center intended for all parents and coaches of youth players. The focus of this grassroots course is to share U.S. Soccer’s best practices in creating a fun, activity-centered and age-appropriate environment for 5-8 year old players. After completion of the online modules, attendance at the last two hours of any Y1 course is highly recommended.

E LICENSE
The ‘E’ Certificate is an 18-hour course targeted towards coaches teaching U10-U14 players. The course's major focus is preparing coaches to enhance the technical competence of developing players.
