Spring is here which means so is soccer for many high school girl players.
The WIAA Girls’ soccer season has begun and in less than three months, the top teams from each division will be competing at our home, Uihlein Soccer Park, in the 2016 WIAA Girls State Championship Tournament (June 16th-18th).
High school sports provide a great platform for young athletes to develop as players. They are given the opportunity to play alongside their friends and build each other up as they work as a team. They have the chance to represent their school and their community through the game of soccer. Over the next few months, they will be creating new and lasting memories with their teammates.
For senior soccer players, this is the last chance they have to leave it all out on the field and enjoy every moment. The season will fly by, and before they know it, they will be off to the next stage of their life. For some, they may be continuing to play soccer or another sport in college. For others, this season may be their final opportunity to represent their school.
Whatever their athletic future holds, they should have fun and focus on teamwork. Best wishes to all the girls high school teams on a great season!
