Soccer Bonds Ninety-Fifth Street Community

by TGR | Oct 16, 2015

America SCORES Milwaukee, the community outreach program of the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club that incorporates creative writing, community service and soccer to provide high quality after-school programming and youth-development for our community’s neediest children, donated 25 new soccer balls and 25 new soccer pinnies to Ninety-Fifth Street School to support the school’s mission to help its students excel academically and socially.

In the words of Frank Lammers, Ninety-Fifth Street School Principal, “Soccer has become an important part of the Ninety-Fifth Street community, bringing students and families together, and teaching our students the importance of teamwork.”

America SCORES Milwaukee Executive Director Kate Carpenter adds, “The school’s mission aligns with our mission to inspire urban youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world.”

As a thank you for the donated soccer equipment, the students gave America SCORES Milwaukee Soccer Director Simba Gandari an honorary Ninety-Fifth Street School Dragon t-shirt that he will wear when he coaches them in the weeks ahead.
