England Blog #4 - A Victory Against The Corinthian-Casuals

 Wednesday, April 1st

Today started with an early training session with two Chelsea Coaches, Coach Zach and Coach Caine, at Surrey Sports Park. They are both highly respected, top-level coaches who train international players who come to London to learn from two of Chelsea's best. They also travel worldwide to teach soccer skills and lead soccer drills. The session started out easy and progressively got harder. At the end we had a 9v9 scrimmage and, happily, my team won.

After the session, we ate lunch before we traveled to our 2:30 p.m. match against the Corinthian-Casuals.

The match started off well with us scoring the first goal. Unfortunately, our defense faltered a bit and we went down 3 to 1. Shortly before the half we scored again and we went into half time down 2 to 3.

After the half, we came out focused with our guns firing. We played a very strong second half in which we scored many goals and didn't concede any goals. We ended up winning the match 7 to 3.

We had a great day filled with lots of fun, new experiences, new friends and a hard fought victory!
