Proudly Celebrating 45 Years of Soccer Leadership

The Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club (MKSC) is proudly celebrating 45 years of soccer leadership in 2013.

MKSC, established in 1968, started at a time when organized soccer was virtually unknown in most areas of the United States. The soccer phenomenon was introduced to the Milwaukee area by 12 MKSC founders (six married couples) who had a vision to attract, develop, and retain soccer players of all ages and abilities without regard to gender, race, national origin, religion or socioeconomic status. To do this, MKSC created a cost-effective and financially stable organization with top quality coaches, referees and administrators.

In its first year, MKSC started with 78 players. Today, MKSC has a youth membership of over 6,000 with players ranging from ages 5 to 18 who enjoy recreational as well as highly competitive play. Consisting of 15 regions spanning across southeastern Wisconsin, MKSC is home to over 650 teams encompassing 800 coaches and over 60 leagues.

"This anniversary is a special milestone for our organization that reflects our ongoing passion for, expertise in and dedication to youth soccer in our communities," said Alvaro Garcia-Velez, MKSC Executive Director. "As a club, we continue to evolve to provide our members with the most educational, fun and interactive soccer experience so they continue to improve their skill set and enjoy the game."

Thank you to all of our MKSC members. We look forward to serving you in 2013 and beyond!
