We congratulate MKSC Coach King and the U14 Boys MKSC Academy Team for winning its division at the 2014 Puma Champions Cup College Showcase & Tournament. The team trophy is housed in the MKSC Academy display case at Uihlein Soccer Park for all to enjoy.
We are hosting a free, open to the public, family-friendly, indoor World Cup Viewing Party for all soccer fans regardless of soccer club affiliation on Sunday, June 22nd.
"The Milwaukee Kickers believes that soccer is a unifying, community-building game changer and wants to share the worldwide excitement on a local level with others as passionate about the sport as we are," said Alvaro Garcia-Velez, MKSC Executive Director.
No registration is required. Click on the flyer below for Viewing Party details.
UPDATE - The game start time was changed by FIFA to 5:00 p.m. resulting in a new Viewing Party start time of 4:00 p.m. (change reflected on the flyer file below).
Test your World Cup knowledge! When you’re done, put your submission in the prize entry box located at the front display table at Uihlein Soccer Park (USP) for your chance to win a World Cup-related prize. Submissions will be randomly selected, and the first two that get all the answers correct (scores will be confidential) will be named winners and be notified via e-mail or phone. Winners will be responsible for picking up their prize at USP and do not need to be a Milwaukee Kicker to win. The Activity #3 deadline to enter is April 28th. Have fun and good luck!
For the 2013-2014 soccer season, we are excited to introduce and launch the "I Want In!" player initiative that recognizes all players U8 and above for the positive traits and outstanding teamwork skills they exhibit on the soccer field.
Based on soccer's "Starting 11" team lineup, players will receive an "I Want In!" punch card from their team coach that lists 11 individual, as well as team building, traits. The 11 qualities listed include determination, perseverance, passion, focus, loyalty, respect, teamwork, discipline, integrity, commitment and sportsmanship.
As play continues throughout the season, each team's coach will punch player's "I Want In!" cards when acts worthy of a specific quality, determined by the coach, have been exhibited by the player on the practice or game field. When a player has earned a punch for all 11 qualities, the coach will give the player an "I Want In!" t-shirt. The goal is not which player receives the t-shirt first, but to encourage all players to focus on the qualities throughout the season so that as the season progresses more and more players earn their own t-shirt.
The t-shirt reflects the player's commitment to the core qualities required to play the game at the highest level and symbolizes the player's dedication to the positive behaviors that strengthen the bonds between players and coaches, players and players, players and referees as well as players and parents.
As we celebrate 45 years of soccer leadership, these 11 leadership affiliated qualities have impacted and shaped thousands of our players in the past and will continue to influence and transform thousands in the future.
